Uganda, known for its lush vegetation, rolling grassy plains, lakes, swamps and tropical forests, is once again on the safari scene. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Mgahinga, in the west of the country, contain 50% of the total population of mountain gorillas as well as other primates. Kibale Forest is home to the largest concentration of primates in the world including Chimpanzees. Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Park, with its breathtaking scenery, have growing populations of elephant, lion, Jacksons hartebeest and the endemic Uganda kob. Uganda is a bird-watchers paradise, you may be lucky enough to see the shoebill.
