Zambia - 13 nights / 14 days
This itinerary is a fourteen day safari through three spectacular Zambian parks Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Kafue ending with time to view the famous Victoria Falls from Livingstone.
DAYS ONE FIVE
Luangwa Valley
Best known of Zambias parks the Luangwa Valley is a series of ox bow lakes, forests and plains which host huge concentrations of game. The park was also gazetted to protect the endemic Thornicrofts giraffe and is also known of its high concentrations of leopard. The five days spend here will be divided between two or three different comfortable permanent camps with the option to walk from one to the other. Game viewing also by vehicle.
DAY SIX NINE
Lower Zambezi Valley
The Zambezi Valley is one of Africas major geographical features and prime draws. It is an area of extraordinary beauty and fabulously rich wildlife. The Zambezi River forms the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. Four days here will be spent in one or two permanent camps situated on the banks of the Zambezi River with the opportunity to canoe between camps. Game viewing also by vehicle and on foot.
DAY TEN TWELVE
Kafue National Park
Situated in the lush eastern part of Zambia and approximately 22 500 km square Kafue is the largest national park in Africa. Here one finds a stunning diversity of habitats from mopane forests to sweeping savannah grasslands. The floodplain in the north are fed by the Lufapa river an din the dry season palm tree islands are shaped by the dropping water levels , housing hundreds of bird species. The Kafue river runs through the park and in Lake Itezhi-tezhi. The area has a dazzling variety of activities on offer from boat cruises on the rivers and lakes, to game viewing on foot and by vehicle and fishing.
Accommodation will be in a permanent seasonal camp.
DAY THIRTEEN
Livingstone / Victoria Falls
The last night of this safari is spent in a camp or lodge within easy reach of the mighty Victoria Falls.
DAY FOURTEEN
Safari ends, depart Livingstone.
