John Stevens Guided Safaris Africa has a wonderful opportunity lined up for a lucky client - it could be you, so read on!
Join John in Mana Pools between 23rd and 29th August 2009 for five, six, seven days or longer.
If you have a free week in late August, we do too, and we'd like to spend it with you on the Zambezi River within Mana Pools National Park.

This privately situated camp will be erected for two weeks only. Guests will be accommodated in spacious, fully gauzed tents with attached veranda and sewn-in groundsheets. The tents are comfortably appointed with two camp cots, bedding, a bedside table, two luggage racks and shelves. Peel back the tent flaps and enjoy the view from the veranda, which is equipped with two chairs, a writing table and a canvas basin. Leading off the back of each tent is a screened but open-roofed bathroom area, consisting of a long-drop lavatory, canvas washbasin and separate shower area with a hot water bucket shower over a slatted wooden floor. Lighting throughout the camp is by candle, pressure and paraffin lamp.
We are especially pleased to announce an exciting new development. John's daughter, Sarah joins him to outfit the gracious old-style camp we used before 2002. Sarah's warm hostessing skills and John's excellent guiding in this exhilarating but pleasant location combine to create an unforgettable experience.
Dining is almost always al fresco - under a shady tree in the heat of the day or on the banks of the river in the moonlight - a stunningly beautiful and unusual setting. Sometimes, dependent on the weather, the mess tent is used. At night, before dinner, everyone gathers around the campfire for a drink and a chat about the day's experiences or to discuss the following day's activities.

Don't miss this very special opportunity. Join John in one of his favourite corners of Africa for a week and you'll have fantastic memories for a lifetime.

John Stevens is available 29th December 2009 through to early January 2010. This is an excellent time for game viewing in Kenya and Tanzania. If you would like to book this particular safari time with John, please get in touch with us immediately even though there has been a downturn in African tourism this remains a very popular time of the year to travel.
