Luxury is a relative term on safari, but generally it refers to the type of accommodation and facilities on offer.
Safari lodges, built with solid walls and glass windows, are the most luxurious, but many tented camps also fit into this category. Modern conveniences such as Internet and mobile phone connection, air conditioning and easy access into the area contribute to the overall “luxury” label.
Add to this gourmet cuisine, pampering spa facilities, butler services and tasteful décor and you have ‘luxury’ wrapped up. But luxury is also seamless travel, gracious hospitality, privacy, exceptional experiences and unmatched guiding. “Exceeding expectations” is a good measure of luxury!
